Spectrum by Taylor Hatchard

This painting is based on the brainbow stain technique on the rodent hippocampus, the area of the brain most associated with learning and memory. This stain illuminates different pathways of communication, each represented by a different colour. With this in mind, I chose to do a paint the brainbow because I feel the different colours and pathways represent spectrum the human experience.
