I am knee deep in snow, sketching this scene overlooking the St. Lawrence River. No matter what the weather, I head out to find treasures such as this.
About The Artist
I started drawing and painting 12 years ago, and remained under the tutelage of Henry Vyfinkle until his death in August, 2014. Shortly before he died, I recounted to him the story of Elisha and Elijah, where Eiisha asked Elijah for a double share of his spirit before he was taken up to heaven in the flaming chariot. I then asked Henry to give me a double share of his spirit. When he died, I felt like I took up his mantle as an artist.
